RIP-ROSS BURTON

The makeup world and humanity at large has lost a great person  Ross Burton makeup artist to THE Star (Oprah) has passed away.  I didn't know him well, just passing conversations at the shows but I always got nothing but a warm geniune vibe from the man. Greeted so lovely with his booming bass voice and that 1000 watt smile you felt instantly at ease.  My prayers and condolences to his family and friends. To his endless amouts of friends and admirers, be so happy that you knew this lovely man and called him friend. When the pain passes just remember his smile and your times with him and smile

  2. I've known Ross since 1999 and this has come to be a shock greater than I can have ever imagined. My heart aches and my heart is heavy. I just got out of the hospital with a leg injury and the last thing he asked me was everything okay? I said yes and asked how he was doing? He said I'm great! Ross I love you and I will miss you God needed you with him I assume because your job here on earth was done. You touched a many hearts and made many people feel beautiful and thanks for the kind words. My pal/buddy/friend/confidant is gone..

My heart broke when I heard of the passing of Ross Burton. I grew up with Roscoe Burton "Ross Burton" in Michigan.
He was one of my best friends since before high school, Cooley High School Class of 1984. He had a smile the would light up any room. His love of artistry, make up, modeling and people, made "Ross Burton" the great man and make up artist he was, he will truly be missed. My condolences to his family.

  8. I took this photo of Ross and Carmen Ejogo on the set of Ebony Magazine cover photo shoot. He took me to dinner after the shoot and then we went by his place where I spent the night before catching an early morning flight back to Florida. We had so much fun talking into the wee hours of the morning. He came to Florida shortly after that shoot. My husband, son and I met him in south Beach for dinner. We had such a great and memorable evening. That was our last meeting together.
I think of him every day.
